Mondulkiri, Ratanakiri, Preah Vihear, and Oddar Meanchey Temperatures to Drop to 17 Degrees

PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has stated that from 2-8 November 2022, four provinces (Mondulkiri, Ratanakiri, Preah Vihear, and Oddar Meanchey) will see temperatures drop down to between 18-17 degrees Celsius. The announcement adds that these provinces will have little to no rain during this period.

The drop in temperature is due to high atmospheric pressure coming from China, and northeasterly winds hitting Cambodia.

The central lowlands will have a minimum temperature of 21-23 degrees and a maximum temperature of 31-33 degrees Celsius. In the central lowlands, there will be no rain, but if there is, it will be very little.

In the highlands, the minimum temperature will be 20-22 degrees and the maximum temperature will be 30-32 degrees Celsius, with no rain in the area.

From 2-4 November, the weather will be cool in the morning in some provinces such as Mondulkiri, Ratanakiri, Preah Vihear, and Oddar Meanchey with a minimum temperature of 17-18 degrees.

In the coastal areas, the minimum temperature will reach 21-23 degrees and the maximum temperature will reach 31-33 degrees Celsius, with little to no rain.

The Ministry calls on people to be more vigilant during this upcoming period of colder weather.
